Just like a mechanic services cars, a heart specialist takes care of the heart, a neuroscientist deals with the brain, your Myotherapist takes care of your muscles and movement.
Muscles move your joints; your joints don’t move themselves.
From poor posture & repetitive overuse, they can pull your back out of position, refer pain to your joints and make specific movements difficult. These “pain”, “tension” or “stiffness” sensations are all sent off to these muscles and joints by the brain and nervous system, where they are mapped. The brain and nervous system in turn will be influenced in reverse, by specific muscular and neuro-muscular work.
The aim is to naturally relieve pain, improve movement & maintain results. This is done by re-adjusting your muscles, so that they can spring your joints back into better position for greater articulation, support the foundation of your movements, & relieve pain that can be sent to your joints, before your muscles get stretched or strengthened along with the imbalance.
After all, you want to get back to exercising, so that your muscles are strong and can support your Joints, Spine & Back, where the muscles literally attach to.

The first step is to book in for an assessment, to work out what is causing your pain or immobility, what activities in your life it’s limiting you in, and what realistic goals you want to achieve, following a tailor made treatment program, right after.
Treatment Program – Level 2
Treatment may involve specific methods, designed to achieve pain relief and increased mobility. This can include a combination of:
Deep Tissue Work, Deep Muscular Release, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy, Postural Re-alignment, Neuromuscular techniques, Muscle Energy Techniques, Positional Release Techniques, PNF stretches & Deep Tissue Massage, Bed, Pillow Assessment & Lifestyle recommendations.
Muscle Maintenance – Level 3
After reaching your goal, you will want to keep your results & get back to improving your daily activities at work and during sports training. This is where the re-adjustment & prevention phase comes in.
Just like a car can use fuel each time you go for a drive, your muscles can naturally overuse themselves and build up with tension or pressure to compensate, for when you perform your favourite daily activities, where specific movements are required.
As your muscles can show clear signs of imbalance long before they give you symptoms of pain; It’s better to reset & re-adjust them while their pressure is in the lower end of the scale, so to speak, before they eventually get overused and may contribute to a large part of the pain in your joints. This will benefit you if you seek faster, more effective results that may last longer and require less frequent visits.
